This is our story

Alma Vale Thoroughbreds is a purpose built Thoroughbred stud nestled in the picturesque Hunter Valley of NSW. Since our inception in July 2023, we have expanded across three properties, offering the perfect environment for nurturing young horses and producing winners

Our expansive operations encompass over 1000 acres of fertile land across these properties. Each location is carefully managed to provide optimal conditions for breeding and raising racehorses.

The home property, Alma Vale Thoroughbreds, features a brand-new, state-of-the-art foaling facility with 16 mare and foal boxes and 15 foaling/day yards. Monitored 24/7 and fully floodlit, this facility is ideally located just 10 minutes from the brand-new Scone Equine Hospital, making it perfect for foaling down mares. We also offer spelling facilities with 22 brand-new individual spelling yards with lockable boxes, as well as 2 large speller paddocks for groups.

In September 2023, Alma Vale Thoroughbreds partnered with the renowned stud Kitchwin Hills to leverage their unique strengths and expertise. The only stud located in the Isis Valley with rolling hills and limestone-enriched pasture, Kitchwin Hills is the birthplace of multiple Group 1 winners, stakes horses, and group winners at prestigious races such as The Melbourne Cup, The Everest, The Myer Classic, All Ages Stakes, The Golden Slipper, and Magic Millions 2YO & 3YO races. Kitchwin also features a brand-new 40-stable barn with a covered horse walker, three large all weather yards, ten grassed paddocks, and parade facilities, providing ample space and amenities for the development of stock heading to the sale ring.
