Specialist Foaling Unit

Meet Michelle Vincent

Michelle Vincent leads our specialised foaling unit at Alma Vale, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the care of your mares and foals. With a Vet Nursing Certificate and over two decades of hands-on experience, Michelle is an invaluable asset to our team.

Michelle's journey in the equine industry began immediately after she completed her schooling. Since then, she has worked across various facets of the industry. Her extensive career includes more than 20 years foaling down with Verna Metcalfe and seven seasons at the renowned Scone Equine Hospital, specifically at the Intensive Care Unit at Clovelly Stables, where she played a crucial role in the care and recovery of critically-ill neonates.

Alma Vale is ecstatic to have Michelle as part of our team. Our new state-of-the-art foaling facility features 16 mare and foal boxes and 15 foaling/day yards. The facility is monitored 24/7 and fully floodlit to ensure the best care for both mare and foal. This facility is ideally located just 10 minutes from the brand-new Scone Equine Hospital.

Signore Fox

Signore Fox stands at Alma Vale Thoroughbreds for the 2024 breeding season for $5,500 inc GST. A son of the champion Exceed And Excel, a distinguished sire of sires. His dam was a Group 2 winner in the United States and is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Sharp Lisa.

Beyond his impressive pedigree, Signore Fox’s racing accomplishments add depth and credibility to his potential as a stallion. As a Group 3-winning sprinter, he demonstrated explosive speed throughout his illustrious, 43-start career, amassing a remarkable $1 million in earnings in the process.

Although narrowly missing out on Group 1 victory, his gallant performances in races such as the G1 Stradbroke Handicap and G1 Kingsford-Smith Cup showcased his ability to compete at the highest level.
